Westmeath Community Development employs a Funding Information Officer, a development worker who specialises in assisting community and voluntary groups in accessing and applying for a wide range of grants and funding sources. · Information and advice to groups on appropriate and available sources of funding · Help and Support to community and Voluntary groups in completing funding applications and proposals – the level of support provided depends on the needs of the group. · Support to applicants to the Rural Development Programme. · Training Sessions in Applying for funding covering topics such as: o Tips on funding applications o Sources of funding and information sources o Practice sessions o Question and Answer session The Funding Information Officer is Hubert Rooney, who has amassed considerable experience with funding proposals in recent years.
