westcd_smallDisability Activation Project, in conjunction with Westmeath Community Development Ltd, will run a “Business Training Programme” in Mullingar. Applications are invited for places on this programme from individuals who meet the requirements set out below.

This 16 week Programme is designed to provide training on what is required to start your business. It is intended to start this course in mid September 2009.

Modules:

  • Enterprise Concepts
  • Sales & Marketing
  • Finance
  • Business Planning
  • Taxation
  • General Management
  • Manager Development

Trainee Profile:

Must be well motivated and have a positive attitude towards developing their business idea and must be in receipt of a Social Welfare Illness/Disability Payment. Participants will be based in Westmeath Community Development Training Division, Blackhall, Mullingar, Co Westmeath.

This course is run one day a week over a 16 week period with the rest of the week to work on your business idea.
