Older People’s Work Plan 2010-2011
 This research was compiled by Patricia McKennaThrough delivery of the LDSIP and LEADER Programmes, WCDL is one of the Area Based Partnerships which carries out a series of measures that are designed to counter disadvantage and to promote equality and social and economic inclusion. WCDL is a partnership which empowers people and communities to overcome disadvantage and improve the quality of their lives. Cooperation with the community and other local organisations is a key part of the everyday work of WCDL, who all play a major role in bringing together the different sectors to develop a shared vision. WCDL serves the following communities: Long term unemployed, disadvantaged women, disadvantaged men, disadvantaged young people, travellers, older people, disabled persons, homeless people, ex prisoners and offenders, low income farm households, asylum seekers and refugees, migrant workers, substance mis-users, lone parents, young people at risk, disadvantaged communities living in rural areas or deprived urban areas.
