Give it a Swirl Day - the National Day of Volunteering - takes place again this year on 25th September 2009. Westmeath Volunteer Centre are once again facilitating projects in the Westmeath area. We're looking for community groups/not for profits in Westmeath to contact us with possible projects that could involve volunteers (both both employee volunteers or individuals) for a single day.
Be creative - and you could really benefit from a group of volunteers who are willing and able to make a difference in a day! Below are details of some of the projects that happened in 2008 which could give you an idea of what your group could ask for/benefit from!
Below are a flavour of some of the projects that happened in Ireland during Give it a Swirl Day 08 and may give you an idea on what type of projects you could develop. Contact us at the volunteer centre and we'd be happy to help your group flesh out a proposal and will actively seek businesses/volunteers to carry out your project.
