The Baby Cafe is an iniatative by Community Mothers to provide an opportunity for parents of babies in the 0-12 month age group to meet in the Mullingar Area.

The group is different from a Parent and toddler group because it is exclusive to babies. Parents are encouraged to play with their babies knowing that they are safe from robust toddlers!

The cafe is run by Community Mothers, who share their experiences of parenthood, and offer encouragement and support to all the parents who attend.

The baby cafe has a friendly informal atmosphere, tea/coffee is provided as well as information in relation to parenting, vaccinations, weaning, activities suitable to young children.

Since its initial beginnings in May on a pilot basis, it has now become a weekly event. Baby Group meets every Tuesday, from 11.30am to 1.00pm in Masons Hall in Mullingar. Masons Hall is on Church Avenue (White building with blue railings on the left hand side near the church).

Since its inception over 100 mums have used this service.
