Westmeath Community Development

WCDL After Schools along with staff of WCDL and ACT participated in the St Patrick’s Day Parade, and won best youth entry for the 3^rd time. We are holding a Celebration Night in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel, Athlone at 7.30 p.m. on 1st April 2009. 
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all whom participated and those who put a lot of work into making this happen especially Anne Marie Hynes, whom made the recyclable music instruments, and wrote a song with the children and Patsy Preston, whom made a very colourful mask and two giant snakes out of popcorn buckets for the After Schools.  A very big thank you to IMC cinema who also collected the buckets for us. 

I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate the St Patrick’s day committee whom put a lot of work into making the parade a very successful day, well done to all.
