On May 20th 2009 Irish Rural Link told the Oireachtas Sub Committee on Job Creation through Use of Renewable Energy Resources that there are opportunities to create thousands of jobs in the renewable energy sector across rural areas if community groups are empowered to harness their area’s natural resources.
