Westmeath County Council are extending an open invitation to the people of Westmeath to celebrate the county’s official launch of Culture Night 2010.

Arts Officer, Catherine Kelly is urging people to attend the launch on August 24, which promises to set the scene for September 24 when wonder and excitement will fill the streets of Westmeath. This is the first year that Westmeath has taken part in the national event and 72 events have been planned for September. The launch on August 24, will give locals the opportunity to discover Culture Night in their area, as the programme of events will be officially unveiled.

The Culture Night launch will take place on Tuesday August 24 at The Atrium, County Buildings, Mullingar at 5.30pm where the Energy School of dance will be one of the many acts to showcase their talent on the night.
