 Calling all Cool Cats for the Athlone Cat WalkEver wanted to be on the Cat Walk??? Well now is your chance!! Athlone Animal Welfare are organising a “Cat Walk” and you don’t even have to be a super model!!! We are planning a sponsored walk from the Dublin Road in Athlone to Monksland and back into the town on the afternoon of the 15th May 2010. We are asking people to dress in black and Trish will be on hand to paint cat faces on anyone who wants their face painted (feel free to wear cat ears or a tail!!) Don’t worry you the face painting is not obligatory but having fun is!! We are asking people to take sponsor ship cards and if possible to aim to get ten people to sponsor €5. But even if you don’t make that amount it doesn’t matter, every cent counts!! Twenty euro can worm and de-flee a cat. Even a euro can buy a tin of food!! However we can’t do it without YOU! We need at least 20 people to participate. So please, please think of all your four legged friends and join us on our walk to help those animals that can’t help themselves!!!
