mindsl LOGOTwo seminars focussing on supporting Tidy Towns Committees and people who would like to get involved  in Tidy Towns are being coordinated by Co. Westmeath Tourism Ltd.

Bringing together in partnership Westmeath County Council, Belvedere House, Gardens & Park, Westmeath Community Development Ltd, Westmeath Volunteer Centre and editorial sponsors Westmeath Examiner and Westmeath Independent Newspapers, two seminars will take place at Belvedere House, Mullingar on Tuesday 23rd February and a follow up seminar on Thursday 11th March.  

Representatives from these local agencies and bodies will make presentations on what they can offer to Tidy Towns groups and highlight the support available. As   examples of best practice members of local and visiting   Tidy Towns groups have been invited to share their experiences.

Springclean Westmeath! Seminar Part One
will take place on Tuesday 23rd February at 7 pm at Belvedere House, Mullingar.  
This event is part of the Aontas National Adult Learners Festival which takes place throughout the last week in February.  The theme for 23rd February is Green Learning Day which   will be mirrored at the seminar.

Part Two of Springclean Westmeath! will take place on Thursday 11th March at 7 pm at  Belvedere House, Mullingar.
The theme of Green Learning will be continued on this evening also. Invited speakers will present on the use of wildflowers, making the most of our natural and built heritage and there will be a detailed presentation on suitable planting, irrigation systems and lots of practical advice from John Smyth, master gardener at Belvedere House.  A spokesperson from a National Tidy Towns Winner committee will give an insight into their journey to success.
