The above group just completed the Westmeath Community Development Ltd. / FAS funded, Trainee Entrepreneur Programme. This programme runs for 16 weeks and all the skills involved in bringing a new business from the idea through to commercial reality are studied, practiced and put into effect.
The programme operates through a FAS Community Employment Scheme, whereby participants enrol on the Special C.E. Scheme for 19.5 hours per week and receive the relevant FAS allowance. Participants must be on a Social Welfare payment to qualify for this programme.
