SMALL GRANTS FUND 2010 (Max Grant €3,000)

The Young People’s Facilities and Services Fund (YPFSF) was established in 1998 as part of the Government’s overall strategy to tackle substance misuse.  The objective of the Fund is to attract at risk young people (aged 10 – 21 yrs) into alternative facilities and activities and divert them away from the dangers of substance abuse.  The YPFSF which is funded by the Department of Health & Children (DoHC) and the Office of the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs (OMCYA), is co-ordinated through the YPFSF Athlone Development Group and is administered by Co Westmeath VEC.

The YPFSF Athlone Development Group (ADG) invites local voluntary, youth and community organisations to apply under the above Fund.  The ADG would particularly welcome applications which focus on the issue of alcohol misuse and the provision of alternative social and other activities which address this issue.

Application forms are available from and should be returned in hard copy only to the YPFSF Athlone Development Group c/o;
